Ingredients

  • 1/2 lb brain, cleaned and cut into pieces
  • 1 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 1 tsp ginger garlic paste
  • 1 tsp cumin powder
  • 1 tsp coriander powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp red chili powder
  • salt, to taste
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 tbsp fresh coriander leaves, chopped

Instructions

  1. Clean the brain pieces thoroughly under running water.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté the onion until golden brown.
  3. Add ginger garlic paste and sauté for a minute until fragrant.
  4. Mix in cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, red chili powder, and salt, stirring well to combine the spices with the onion.
  5. Add the brain pieces to the pan, stirring occasionally, and cook until they are fully cooked through, about 10 to 12 minutes.
  6. Gradually add water as needed, stirring to adjust the masala’s consistency to your preference.
  7. Garnish with fresh coriander leaves before serving. Accompany with naan or rice for an enhanced dining experience.
