- 1 cup arborio rice
- 4 cups milk

Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine the milk and saffron threads. Heat over medium heat until almost boiling, then remove from heat and let the saffron steep.
- In another saucepan, bring 2 cups of water to a boil. Add the arborio rice and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the rice is tender. Drain and set aside.
- Add the cooked rice to the saffron-infused milk. Simmer on low heat, stirring occasionally, until the mixture thickens and becomes creamy, about 20 minutes.
- Stir in the sugar, golden raisins, slivered almonds, and vanilla extract. Cook for another 5 minutes, ensuring the sugar is fully dissolved.
- Remove from heat and allow the pudding to cool slightly before serving. The pudding will continue to thicken as it cools.
