  • 2 pounds sweet potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced
  • 2 leeks, trimmed, halved lengthwise, and thinly sliced

  • 1 cup Gruyère cheese, grated

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon butter, for greasing

Instructions

  8. Top with the remaining Gruyère cheese.
  9. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
  10. Remove the foil and continue baking for an additional 30 minutes, or until the top is golden and the potatoes are tender.
  11. Allow the gratin to cool for 10 minutes before serving.
