These skewers bring a burst of flavor with spicy Cajun seasoning, tender shrimp, and smoky sausage.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 12 ounces andouille sausage, sliced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 red bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 green bell pepper, cut into chunks
  • 1 red onion, cut into chunks
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.
  2. In a large bowl, combine olive oil, Cajun seasoning, garlic, and lemon juice.
  3. Add shrimp and sausage to the bowl, tossing to coat thoroughly with the seasoning mixture.
  4. Thread shrimp, sausage, red and green bell peppers, and red onion onto skewers, alternating ingredients.
  5. Place skewers on the preheated grill. Cook for 5-6 minutes, turning halfway through, until shrimp are opaque and cooked through.
  6. Remove from the grill and serve immediately.
