Ingredients

  • 2 lb pork belly
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 inch ginger, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups water

Instructions

  1. Cut the pork belly into large chunks.

  3. Add the pork belly to the pot and bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  4. Once boiling, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 1.5 hours, checking occasionally to ensure the liquid does not evaporate too quickly.

  6. Remove from heat and let the pork rest in the sauce for a few minutes before serving.
