Enjoy the savory delight of homemade pork gyoza with a crispy outside and juicy filling.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 30 gyoza wrappers
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup water

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper.
  3. Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a 9-inch skillet over medium heat.
  5. Arrange a batch of gyoza in the skillet, flat side down, and fry until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2 minutes.
  6. Add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the gyoza for about 3 minutes or until cooked through.
  7. Remove the lid and continue cooking until the bottoms are crispy again, about 2 minutes.
  8. Repeat the process for remaining gyoza. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
