Ingredients
- 1 pound ground pork
- 1 cup cabbage, finely chopped
- 2 green onions, chopped
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 30 gyoza wrappers
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 1/2 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine ground pork, cabbage, green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, ginger, garlic, and black pepper. Mix well.
- Place about 1 tablespoon of filling in the center of each gyoza wrapper.
- Wet the edges of the wrapper with water, fold in half, and pinch the edges to seal.
- Heat vegetable oil in a 9-inch skillet over medium heat.
- Arrange a batch of gyoza in the skillet, flat side down, and fry until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2 minutes.
- Add 2 tablespoons of water to the skillet, cover, and steam the gyoza for about 3 minutes or until cooked through.
- Remove the lid and continue cooking until the bottoms are crispy again, about 2 minutes.
- Repeat the process for remaining gyoza. Serve hot with dipping sauce.
