A vibrant salad featuring crispy tofu, fresh greens, and a tangy sesame soy dressing infused with orange and ginger.

Ingredients

  • 14 oz firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon orange juice
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 6 cups mixed salad greens
  • 1 medium carrot, julienned
  • 2 tablespoons sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut into 1-inch cubes.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine soy sauce and orange juice. Add tofu cubes and marinate for 10-15 minutes.
  3. Heat 1 tablespoon of sesame oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add tofu and cook until golden brown on all sides, about 5-7 minutes.
  4. In a small bowl, whisk together remaining sesame oil, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and honey to make the dressing.
  5. In a large bowl, combine mixed salad greens, julienned carrot, and green onions.
  6. Add cooked tofu to the salad, sprinkle with sesame seeds, and toss gently with the sesame soy dressing.
  7. Serve immediately for the freshest taste.
