Create a hauntingly delicious pull-apart garlic bread in the shape of a spider web. Perfect for Halloween gatherings!
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 packet active dry yeast
- 1 cup warm water
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Instructions
- In a small bowl, combine the yeast, sugar, and warm water. Let sit for 5-10 minutes until foamy.
- In a large bowl, mix the flour and salt. Add the yeast mixture and olive oil, and stir until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a damp cloth, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour, or until doubled in size.
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 16 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a ball.
- Melt the butter and mix it with the minced garlic.
- Arrange the dough balls in a circular pattern in a greased 9-inch round baking dish, leaving some space between each ball.
- Brush the dough balls with the garlic butter mixture, ensuring even coverage.
- Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and chopped parsley over the top of the dough balls.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the bread is cooked through.
- Cool slightly before serving. Pull apart the pieces to mimic a spider web pattern. Enjoy!
