Ingredients
- 1 block firm tofu, cubed
- 2 cups broccoli florets
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- 1/2 tsp ginger, grated
- 1/4 cup vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp water
- 1 tbsp oil, for cooking
Instructions
- Press the tofu between paper towels to remove excess moisture and then cube.
- Whisk together soy sauce, minced garlic, sesame oil, and grated ginger in a bowl.
- In another bowl, mix vegetable broth, cornstarch, and water until smooth.
- Preheat a tablespoon of oil in a skillet over medium heat, then add tofu cubes. Cook until each side is golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Remove tofu from skillet and set aside.
- Using the same skillet, add broccoli florets and stir-fry until they are bright green and tender, about 3-4 minutes.
- Reintroduce tofu to the skillet along with the soy sauce mixture, stir well to coat.
- Gradually add the broth mixture to the skillet, stirring constantly, until the sauce thickens.
- Serve immediately, optionally over a bed of rice or noodles.
