Ingredients
- 1 lb mutton, cut into small pieces
- 1 lb okra, washed and dried
- 2 medium onions, finely chopped
- 3 medium tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 cup yogurt
- 1 tsp red chili powder
- 1 tsp turmeric powder
- 1 tsp coriander powder
- 1 tsp cumin powder
- 1/2 tsp garam masala
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 inch piece ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp oil
Instructions
- Heat oil in a pan over medium heat and sauté onions until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
- Add mutton pieces and cook until they change color, around 8 minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes, ginger, and garlic. Cook until the tomatoes soften, approximately 10 minutes.
- Add red chili powder, turmeric, coriander, cumin powder, and salt. Cook for a few minutes until spices are fragrant.
- Whisk yogurt and garam masala in a bowl, then add to the pan and cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add okra and continue cooking until the mutton is tender and okra is cooked through, around 20 minutes.
- Serve hot with naan or rice.
