Ingredients
- 2 cups basmati rice

- Rinse the basmati rice until the water runs clear. Soak it in water for 30 minutes.
- In a bowl, marinate the chicken with yogurt, ginger garlic paste, and garam masala. Let it sit for 1 hour in the refrigerator.
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the soaked rice and parboil until it’s 70% cooked. Drain and set aside.
- In a separate pot, place the marinated chicken at the bottom, then add a layer of parboiled rice on top. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used up.
- Cover the pot with a tight-fitting lid, then cook on low heat for 30-40 minutes until the rice and chicken are fully cooked.
- Gently mix the biryani before serving. Accompany with raita and salad.
