These subs feature juicy meatballs glazed in a spicy pineapple teriyaki sauce, offering a sweet and savory bite.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/2 cup bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • 1/2 cup pineapple chunks
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 green onion, chopped

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix ground beef, bread crumbs, beaten egg, and minced garlic until combined.
  3. Form the mixture into 16 small meatballs.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat and brown the meatballs on all sides.
  5. Transfer the meatballs to a baking sheet and bake for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Meanwhile, in a saucepan, combine soy sauce, pineapple juice, brown sugar, and sriracha sauce. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.

  8. Place 4 meatballs in each sub roll, topping with pineapple chunks and chopped green onion.
