  • 1 lb chicken breast, diced
  • 1 cup yogurt

  • 1 cup tomato puree
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp oil
  • 2 tbsp fresh cilantro, chopped

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, garam masala, cumin, coriander, turmeric, paprika, cayenne pepper, and a pinch of salt.
  2. Add diced chicken to the marinade, ensuring it is well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow flavors to meld.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add marinated chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned on all sides.
  4. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, melt butter and add tomato puree. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  5. Stir in heavy cream, and bring the sauce to a gentle simmer over low heat. Simmer for 10 minutes, allowing the flavors to develop.
  6. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet, ensuring it is coated with the sauce. Simmer for an additional 10 minutes until the chicken is cooked through.
  7. Garnish with fresh cilantro and serve warm with basmati rice or naan bread.
