Ingredients
- 1 whole pizza dough
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup sliced bell peppers, sliced
- 1/2 cup sliced mushrooms, sliced
- 1/4 cup chopped red onion, chopped
- 1/4 cup sliced black olives, sliced
- 1/2 cup marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
- Divide the pizza dough into four equal portions. Roll out each portion on a lightly floured surface into an 8-inch circle.
- Layer shredded mozzarella, sliced bell peppers, sliced mushrooms, chopped red onions, and sliced black olives on one half of each dough circle.
- Fold the other half of the dough over the fillings. Seal the edges by pressing with the tines of a fork to prevent any filling from leaking out.
- Arrange the calzones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and crisp.
- Allow the calzones to cool slightly on a wire rack before serving.
- Serve the calzones with warm marinara sauce for dipping.
