- 2 medium eggplants, sliced

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat.
- Add the chopped onions and garlic, and sauté for 2 to 3 minutes until translucent.
- Add the ground meat, cinnamon, and allspice. Cook for 5 to 7 minutes until the meat is browned.
- Stir in the tomato sauce and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- In a separate skillet, fry the eggplant slices in batches until golden brown on both sides.
- In a baking dish, layer half of the fried eggplant slices at the bottom. Spread half of the meat mixture over the eggplant.
- Repeat with the remaining eggplant slices and meat mixture, ending with the meat layer on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes until heated through and the flavors meld together.
- Remove from the oven and let it cool slightly before serving.
