Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken or crumbled tofu
  • 2 cups thai basil leaves

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 4 cups cooked jasmine rice

Instructions

  1. Heat 2 tbsp vegetable oil in a pan over medium heat.
  2. Add 3 cloves minced garlic and stir-fry for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  3. Add 1 lb ground chicken or crumbled tofu and cook for 5-7 minutes until browned.
  4. Stir in 2 tbsp soy sauce and 2 tsp sugar, then add 2 cups Thai basil leaves and cook for another 2 minutes until the basil wilts.
  5. Serve immediately over 4 cups cooked jasmine rice.
