Ingredients

  • 1 bunch water spinach, washed and trimmed

  • 3 Tbsp sambal oelek
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 Tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 Tbsp water

Instructions

  1. Combine sambal oelek, soy sauce, and sugar in a small bowl and mix well.
  2. Heat vegetable oil in a wok over medium heat until hot.
  3. Add minced garlic and stir-fry for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  4. Add the sambal mixture to the wok and stir to combine with the garlic.
  5. Add the water spinach to the wok and stir-fry for 2 to 3 minutes until the spinach is wilted.
  6. Serve immediately over steamed rice.
