- 1 lb chicken wings, drumettes and flats
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp ginger, grated
- 2 tbsp sesame oil
- 2 tbsp vegetable oil
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tbsp toasted sesame seeds, for garnish
- 2 tbsp green onions, chopped
Instructions
- Pat dry the chicken wings with paper towels thoroughly to remove excess moisture.
- Coat the chicken wings in a large bowl with cornstarch until they are evenly covered.
- In a separate bowl, prepare the sauce by mixing soy sauce, honey, brown sugar, minced garlic, grated ginger, sesame oil, black pepper, and red pepper flakes.
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep pan or pot over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
