Ingredients

  • 1 package dumpling wrappers
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup cabbage, finely chopped
  • 1 Tbsp green onions, chopped
  • 2 Tbsp vegetable oil

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, thoroughly combine the ground pork, garlic, soy sauce, ginger, cabbage, and green onions.
  2. Place a heaping teaspoon of the pork mixture in the center of each dumpling wrapper.
  3. Moisten the edges of each wrapper with a little water, then fold and crimp to seal the dumplings securely.
  4. Heat vegetable oil in a skillet over medium heat. Arrange dumplings in a single layer without overlapping.
  5. Cook until the bottoms are golden brown, about 2-3 minutes. Carefully add 1/4 cup water to the pan, then cover to steam for about 5 minutes.
  6. Uncover the pan and continue cooking until the water evaporates and the bottoms are crispy again, about 2 more minutes.
  7. Transfer the dumplings to a serving dish and serve immediately with soy sauce or your preferred dipping sauce.
