Ingredients

  • 12 oz pack wonton wrappers
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1/2 lb shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 Tbsp ginger, grated
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 2 green onions, thinly sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, combine the ground pork, shrimp, garlic, ginger, and soy sauce. Mix well to combine evenly.
  2. Take a wonton wrapper and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center. Moisten the edges with water, then fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle and press the edges to seal.
  3. In a large pot, bring the chicken broth to a simmer over medium heat. Add the green onions and carrot.
  4. Gently add the prepared wontons to the simmering broth. Cook for 5-7 minutes, or until the wontons are cooked through and float to the surface.
  5. Ladle the soup into bowls and serve hot, garnished with additional green onions if desired.
